  1. A critical spirit is poisonous. Bitterness cannot grow in the soil of a grateful soul. When you have gratitude in your soul–bitterness cannot get rooted in that space.

  32. I used to think that God couldn’t be bothered with small things but now I don’t mind asking him to pick out my wallpaper.

  34. I will never be present with what I’m thinking but what I’m feeling in the present moment.
  35. OA doesn’t teach us how to handle food. It teaches how to handle life without food.

  37. Any time I allow selfishness, dishonesty, resentment, and fear to be a part of me, I block out spiritual things.

  39. Anger is an emotion of injustice. Anger signals to me that there is injustice. What do a do with that anger?
  40. Do what you say. Say what you mean but not in a mean way.
  41. Work the program, not being sprinkled with it.

  57. Not only will this disease affect our weight and it will wreak havoc on all areas of our life.

  79. I’m trying to work the program without giving up control.
  80. (for today March 28) If I stop “supervising” my weight loss, it will be taken care of – in God’s time. I pray for the willingness to do that.

  82. Abstinence is like putting an octopus to bed (similar to the whack-a-mole scenario). I would like to add it’s also kind of like putting pajamas on one too.
